Historic Hut Pointe was built in 1944 by the first Premier of the Bahamas (1964-1967), Sir Roland Symonette. Abandoned for over a decade, the beautiful, two-story solid stone building was purchased and completely renovated by new owners who appreciated its natural beauty and location. In addition to the solid stone construction, Hut Pointe's interior floors and roof rafters were constructed with all Abaco Pine (now extinct) and mahogany decks on the east side of the building. This is truly one of the most prestigious and unique buildings on Eleuthera. Historic Hut Pointe is centrally located 8 minutes from Governor's Harbour and 8 minutes from the airport, an ideal location for those wanting to explore the entire Island. Most importantly, Hut Pointe has wonderful views and is literally a few minutes walk to the beautiful, deserted, pink sand beaches of Eleuthera. Have a great vacation!
